The City of Anderson, California, is 10 miles south of Redding. Once a starting point for a trail to the Trinity mines, Anderson now has a population of 10,000.
Nestled at the northern end of the Great Central Valley along the winding Sacramento River, the City of Anderson, in “upstate” California’s named after early rancher Elias Anderson. The community offers a variety of recreational, cultural, multicultural and educational opportunities for preschoolers to seniors, with excellent schools, a Teen Center, the Frontier Senior Center, Library, and a concert stage in beautiful Anderson River Park. Anderson’s also the home of the Shasta District Fair.
